Janice M. Freel, RN, CLNC
President & CEO
For more than 50 years, caring for others has been at the heart of Janice M. Freel’s career. As a Registered Nurse, she has cared for patients through illness, recovery, and some of life’s most difficult moments.
Her years at the bedside gave her more than clinical experience. They gave her a deep understanding of how healthcare decisions, documentation, communication, and standards of care can affect patients, families, healthcare providers, and legal outcomes.
Today, as a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant, Janice uses her nursing knowledge and medical-legal training to help clients review, understand, and evaluate medical-related cases with confidence.

Throughout her nursing career, Janice saw how medical records often tell only part of a patient’s story. She understood the importance of accurate documentation, adherence to standards of care, and clear communication among healthcare professionals.
These experiences inspired her to expand her expertise and become a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant. By combining decades of hands-on nursing experience with legal nurse consulting knowledge, Janice helps turn complex medical information into organized, objective, and understandable case insights.
Her work supports decision makers by helping them identify key medical issues, review case merit, understand timelines, and evaluate standards of care.
